The Bookman accepts used book donations and then makes subsequent free book donations to deserving individuals and groups, both domestically and internationally. <br> As the largest organization of its kind, The Bookman distributes more than 500,000 used books free each year around the world.

The Bookman accepts any and all book donations and tries to find good homes for all of them. The Bookman does not redistribute magazines or old reference books such as Encyclopedia Britannica, however, we will allow these materials to be recycled in our recycling bins. We ask that you please do not donate luggage, appliances, office equipment, clothing, or anything other than books.

Books can be delivered to the warehouse 24 hours per day by leaving them at the loading dock next to the freight elevator (do not mingle them with books already in place). If you want to see the warehouse or speak with a volunteer, the facility is open weekdays between 7am and 11:30am or by appointment. If you require a receipt, please let us know. Donors who wish to ship books are encouraged to use the US Post Office Media Mail as this is the least expensive method of shipping books.
